Remove the two screws holding the screws. Place the lid switch screws in a safe location. Unsnap the wires attached to the lid switch from the metal retainers along the edge of the cabinet. Use pliers to squeeze the side tabs on the lid switch connector to release it from the hole in the cabinet. Discard the old lid switch.
