Crushing prison doesnt do much against these. the higher ranking the enemy, the faster they shrug it off. the problem is crushing prison doesnt have any real synergy with the rest of the party and it isnt excellent against any specific enemy, just overall good. but being a mage is about matching the spell to the situation.

Although 1.02 nerfed it significantly making the duration extremely short on higher difficulties it's still useful. Two mages + cone of cold will take a lot of pressure off your tank when you get swamped by enemies.
